MEET THE PRO

GB Wheelchair Basketball Player Amy Conroy

Diagnosed with cancer at 13, Amy Conroy was given a 50% chance of survival. Now, she’s a professional Wheelchair Basketball Player, competing at an elite level. We can’t think of a better strength champion to have on our Pro Athlete team.

Over the past 10-plus years, Amy has represented Great Britain at all the major competitions – winning Gold in the 2015 U25 World Wheelchair Basketball Championships, Silver at the 2018 World Wheelchair Basketball Championships, and competing in the 2012, 2016 and 2020 Paralympic Games, among others.

Strength training has been part of Amy’s routine since she started playing basketball. It improves her speed and agility, boosts her confidence, and stops her letting the “self-doubt and what-ifs” creep in.

Watch our video to learn more about how one of our smiliest athletes finds her strength.

We’re only at the start of our journey, but with the help of the brilliant GOSS Consultancy, you will start to see small (but no less important) updates, as we review our accessibility across our digital channels, events and at our HQ.

We'll continue to learn and keep you updated as we evolve.
